Our Story

The Cheese Platter Company began with a little girl who simply loved cheese.

For Fleur Russell, founder of The Cheese Platter Company, that love started at home when her mother's simple but memorable snack of Kraft cheese cubes and grapes sparked something that never really left her. Years later, when Fleur studied Food Science and Technology, her very first manufacturing project was cheesemaking. It felt like the most natural choice in the world. In 2017, Fleur taught herself how to make fresh artisan cheese from scratch using locally sourced milk.

But Trinidad had other plans. Limited cream yield from local livestock made large-scale cheese production unsustainable and rather than abandon her dream, Fleur did what every great entrepreneur does; she pivoted.

She deepened her knowledge the old-fashioned way through research, curiosity, and a journey that took her all the way to France. She walked through the rolling fields of Normandy, visited the farms where Camembert was born, and watched Chevre being crafted from the rich goat milk of the French countryside. Hands-on experience became the foundation of her philosophy. She learned that truly great cheese deserves to be understood, celebrated, and shared.

Back home in Trinidad, Fleur built her business around curated experience and creation crafting beautiful platters, styling grazing tables, and producing handcrafted accompaniments that bring the artistry of the cheese board to life.

Over eight years, The Cheese Platter Company has grown into one of Trinidad & Tobago's most beloved charcuterie brands, trusted by private clients, corporate partners, and event hosts alike.

Now The Cheese Platter Company is stepping onto retail shelves with Grab & Graze boxes, signature jams, dips, and accompaniments crafted to bring the grazing experience into everyday life. The vision is bold and clear; to become a household gourmet brand across Trinidad & Tobago, and to see their handcrafted items exported across the Caribbean and beyond.

What started with a love for cheese has evolved into a brand that blends knowledge, creativity, and a distinct approach to grazing, shaping our own standard of what charcuterie can be in the Caribbean.

The Cheese Platter Company remains committed to bringing people together through thoughtfully curated food experiences. As we look ahead, our vision is to keep evolving while staying rooted in the quality, creativity, and service that have shaped The Cheese Platter Company from the very beginning.
